      QYZPU celebrated nauryz holiday

      ALMATY. APRIL 1. PRESS CENTER - The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University celebrated in honor of the great holiday of our people "Nauryz – duman, Nauryz – zhyr".

      From ancient times Nauryz has always been the source of unity and prosperity. Everybody knows that with Nauryz holiday comes new changes, new tendencies. Today's Nauryz holiday is also unique. In connection with the announcement of the President of the current year "Year of children" in the celebration was organized the competition of pictures "Happy childhood".

      The cultural event was opened with songs and dances, the congratulatory speech of  Asyla Osmanova, an alumna of the University, Honorable figure of Kazakhstan, and Gulmira Qanay, the Chair of the Managing Board - Rector.

      Rectors of universities, representatives of the city administration, and the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey also congratulated the guests on the holiday, watched the concert program prepared for the holiday, and enjoyed the festive meal.

      Each institution staged a theatrical performance of Kazakh rituals such as "Ayttyru", "Uryn baru", "Syrga salu", "Besikke salu", and "Tusau kesu" and presented our national values to the public.

      There were dishes prepared by university staff and competitions in national sports games such as "Togyz kumalak", "Tymak atu", "Asyk atu". In addition to the students of QyzPU, students of Almaty colleges also performed on the stage of the summer square, presenting ethnic compositions of fashion collections and theatrical performances.

      During the celebration of Nauryz, school, college, and university students sang, participated in sports competitions, and danced.

      After the pandemic situation, our people longed for the celebration of Nauryz. Today was an opportunity for people to finally shake hands and exchange good wishes.
