      ALMATY. February 12. Press center – Zhamila Yelemessova was born on March 8, 1939 in the Karatal district of the present-day Almaty region. In 1968 she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training Institute.

      Orphaned at an early age, Zhamila Toktarbekovna graduated from an 8-year school in 1957 in Kyzylorda. She studied at the pedagogical school named after Mametova.

      She began her career in 1961 as a primary school teacher at the former Koksu station in Taldykorgan region.  In 1964 Zh. Yelemessova entered the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training Institute. As a student she was actively involved in the Komsomol and social work of the institute. In 1968 he graduated with honors and worked as a secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Institute and a teacher at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology.

      In 1978 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and became an associate professor.

      From 1978 to 1984 she worked as the director of № 1 preschool school, № 2 primary school pedagogical school in Almaty. During this period, as a qualified specialist, she developed a large number of textbooks for educational institutions, methodological manuals for secondary special schools. Prepared relevant textbooks, methodical, pedagogical, didactic materials on pedagogy, for continuous pedagogical practice at school, related to the problems of preschool, primary and special schools.

      From 1984 to 1989, Zhamilya Yelemessova was the rector of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training Institute.

      In 1984, the building of the Scientific Library and reading rooms were commissioned. Also in 1987 at the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy opened a specialty that trains choreographers.

      In 1988, at the initiative of Zhamila Yelemessova, the folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Ular" was created to promote and demonstrate the songs and kuis of the Kazakh people, ancient national instruments in the art of Kazakh national music.

      Zh. Yelemessova is the author of many textbooks, such as "Help for learners of the Kazakh language", "Teaching Russian in a national school." She was awarded diplomas of the Central Committee of the Komsomol, the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR and the Medal "Veteran of Labor" and the Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Kurmet" for her work in the field of education.
