      It is with deep regret that we announce the irreparable loss of Bulbul Matay, Senior Lecturer of English at Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University PhD, who passed away. Born in 1971, she lived her life devoted to education and the development of international co-operation.

      Bulbul Matay joined the university staff in 2003, after successfully graduating from Taraz State University named after M.H. Dulati with a degree in English. Her professional path has been characterised by active participation in various aspects of educational activities.

      Bulbul Matay paid special attention to the development of international co-operation, in particular the promotion of double degrees with Chinese universities. Between 2015 and 2018, she continued her education at Hubei University in China, where she successfully completed her PhD programme in Chinese Language Literature.

      Bulbul Matay also actively participated in research work and advised young teachers in the development of teaching material. Her contribution to the development of education and science will remain indelible.

      Rector of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University Gulmira Qanay expresses her sincere condolences to Bulbul Matay's family and friends. Her bright mind and soulful generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure to work and communicate with her. The memory of her will remain in the hearts of colleagues, students and all those who appreciated her professionalism and human qualities.
