      The famous dancer held a master class

      ALMATY. November 26. Press center – Toygan Izim, a professor and candidate of art history, who left her mark on the art of dance, held a master class at the University.

      Toygan Izim entered the professional stage at the age of 17, danced without interruption for 27 years and is now a qualified teacher. 57 scientific works on the art of dance have been published under her authorship.

      During the two-day master class, work was done to introduce a reference book on the subject "Theory and methods of teaching Kazakh dance."

      During the event, Almat Shamshiev, master of arts, professional choreographer, also shared his experience.

      At the end of the master class, experts told how to work with a team in order to avoid mistakes. In their opinion, a highly educated choreographer should first of all be educated and much higher than any dancer.

      It should be noted that Toygan Izim is an Honored Artist of Kazakhstan. In 1971 she graduated from the Almaty Studio of Variety and Circus Art, in 1999 – from the Almaty Institute of Theater and Cinema.

      She worked as a soloist in the dance ensembles «Sherter», «Sazgen», «Altynai».

      Today she teaches at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

      Winner of several international and republican dance competitions.
